M.H. Alshaya Co. is growing across the Middle East and North Africa. At the core of this ever-expanding operation will be the new Service Centre in Bangalore, India. We are looking for experienced candidates to lead best practice across finance and IT functions. The Centre will open in 2013 and offer vacancies of all levels.
The Operation Centre Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined management and operation of the Command and Control Center, including scheduling to meet staffing requirements for ticket and call volumes, scheduled tasks, checks and routine operational tasks. The role will require partnering with peer management across the Technology, Security and Operations departments to ensure resolution of service issues and direct the evolution of processes and procedures related to the day-to-day Command and Control Center.
Desired Skills and Experience
University degree in the field of computer science/engineering or information systems. Master's degree preferred.
Certifications in at least 2 mainstream technology platforms
At least 7-12 years' work experience in a similar role, ideally running 24/7/365 operational teams
Strong knowledge of systems design principles, requirements specifications, standards development and practices
Good working knowledge of ITIL, especially Systems Management practices, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 best practices and standards and how they are applied to IT
Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal and consultative skills
Exceptional customer service orientation
Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards and products
Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
Must have hands-on experience with multiple technical domains
